Ok, so lets get one thing straight before we begin. I don’t by any stretch of the imagination claim to know anything about ballet. I mean sure, I like to cut a rug and get my dance on, but I am pretty sure that the Bernie doesn’t count as ballet. I mean lets be real, would the bernie fit in at a ballet recital? Probs not. Def not. No way. But, regardless of my ballet knowledge, there is one thing that I do know about in the ballet world, and that is the spin. Yes you all know what I mean. When those crazy dancers go way up on their toes and spin till their head about falls off. It’s really pretty crazy if you ask me. But there is one thing a dancer must do when they spin, and that is, have a focal point. A spinning dancer must continue to return their eyes (and yes I just about said “Her eyes”, but there are guys who do ballet. I am no hater. Do ya thing.) to focal point to keep their balance. If not they could tumble over, and no one wants that. Well, Likewise, we have a focal point in our lives, and that is Christ. Circumstances change, our days get crazy, and the world seems to be whirling around us. The only way to keep our balance is to keep our eyes focused on the King. The focal point. The One who never changes. When your focus is on Christ, all the circumstances surrounding you, just seem to work themselves out. As long as we Have our focus on the right thing, we don’t have to worry about falling, because we know the one who holds us up.
2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
